Information

I have disabled all mods

Yes

Required

Summary

Cannot launch game "Simulation error: Argument is out of range."

Expected Result

I expected my save to load and I would be able to get into the map with getting spammed with errors.

Actual Result

With arguments ` -noWorkshop -disableMods` , the game never gets past the loading screen. If I use the loading screen mod, I get the error in the summary during the NetManager simulation thread.

Steps to reproduce

Load game
It fails
If I get into the game, I get a bunch of errors and the bottom bar has zeroed out vaues.

Platform

Steam

Game Version

1.17.0-f3

Optional

Description

The error in the output_log.txt says

From what I can see in that log this happens before you start to load any save game, is that right? If so I doubt it is the saves that are the problem.

Please try a **clean** reinstall:

- Remove the game from Steam (uninstall)
- Manually delete all these files and folders, if still there:

...\Steam\steamapps\common\Cities Skylines\
...\Steam\SteamApps\workshop\content\255710\
...\AppData\Local\Colossal Order\Cities Skylines
(first move the /saves/ folder elsewhere to keep your save games)
(To see the AppData folder you'll need to enable View Hidden Items in File Explorer)

- Install the game again and see if it runs now.

Good luck with that!

I don't see the error until *after* I start loading the game. In loading screen mod, I get the "NetManager- Simulation Failed: Argument is out of range" Loading Screen Mod error.
I tried the clean reinstall exactly as you said, and I still am unable to load into the saves I attached. I am absolutely puzzled at what has bricked my saves.

Can we see a new log from the latest attempt, please? And is it just the saves or are you not able to start a new city either?

did you just unsubs from mods like: more vehicle, more citizen units, or more path units?
It's like using any other limit increasing mod (More Vehicles, More CitizenUnits, etc.) - saves made with this mod active WILL NOT BE RELOADABLE WITHOUT IT.
