When I open CKII I get error 0xc000007b.

http://i131.photobucket.com/albums/p305/cloudwasher/Error.png

I have tried re-installing the 2008 and 2010 64x C++ as I saw suggested in a previous post, Ive tried manually deleting my d3dx9_ dll files manually and installing directx 9.0c as I saw suggested from someone else on a different forum. Ive tried uninstalling and reinstalling the client through steam three times now. When I try to load it from steam it just doesnt load and doesnt even show that error. When I go into the steam files and try to execute the ck2.exe manually is when I finally got the error message. The game used to work on my old 32 bit comp, but for some reason it now wont run on my new 64 bit comp. Any help or suggestions would be would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT: Just fired up EU3 and it worked perfectly but CK2 still wont start.

Visit the Windows Update site and allow it to patch at least all your installed .NET versions, and if you don't have MS Security Essentials installed, install it and do a scan.

Those frightening possibilities aside, try a full clean reinstall: uninstall the game from Steam and move any valued save games elsewhere. Manually delete the CK2 directories from under the Steam AND MyDocuments folders, now reinstall the game via Steam.

If and only if none of the above help, please post a dxdiag.txt (you can delete everything after the "Sound devices" section for brevity), settings.txt, system.log and error.log files (you'll need to rename the .log files to .txt to upload). Also open setup.log, search for "checksum", and paste that line only in here.
