Ugh, please help.

I have a new computer with windows 7. I re-downloaded my games from gamersgate, and now cannot save any games. I installed in this order:

AOD
patch 1.3
patch 1.4
patch 1.5
IC
patch 1.01
patch 1.01 rev.3

When I tried to start the game it told me some 50.dll file was missing, I said ignore and went on. I cannot save any games whatsoever, it says files are missing I had loaded it all once yesterday and then removed it, because I realized I had missed a couple patches......it was all in my program files 86 or something folder. I am afraid I deleted some windows file by accident. Any ideas or help?

I also have the same problem did everyting that i had to do i the other threads, still i CAN'T save a game without the computer "throwing" me out of the game! Has it something to do with Windows 7 64? because i did't have any problems when i use to play on Xp. And yes i have done everything that was in the last thread and the link thread.

Cant make up my mind what game to play either HoI II AoD, HoI III+xpac or War in the Pacific: Admiral Edition. WitP:AE is pretty good but take along time to play the full scenario if you have the patient for it, and its not cheap either.

Been trying to mod the game for The Pacific Mod, was doing ok til i got the patch and few things in there doesnt seem right, so i dont know what to say.

I am hearing in some other sub forums and threads that Win 7 does not like games in the default Program Files x86 folder. When you add on a mod, or overlay/re-write files like in IC it doesn't seem to handle it well. I am hearing if you make a file called games in the c drive and move everything there (or fresh install) that that may solve our issue.

We will see.

That might work, i think the problems is that using those OS, there is security options that can be disabled so you can add/modified them. I had to disabled that directory under x86 folder so i can unzip that revision 3 final patch. Have you tried that under C:\ path yet?
