Cannot start a grand wedding or marry the heir to his betrothed

Description​

In short I betrothed my heir. Came time that I can marry him. I opened that window and could have just married him of to his betrothed. But on the screen I got I can promise grand wedding, said, sure, I actually now have gold to throw it so he can benefit from the buffs. Everything looked good. Did the grand wedding, invited everyone, put it to grandest type of grand wedding... all of a sudden 10 days into starting it and both betrothed on their way, magically my grand wedding gets cancelled as if no one showed. How could they? It was just 10 days since I invited everyone. After that wanted to check did they marry or can I start a new one, or atleast marry my heir. Nope on all of it. Grand wedding is greyed and says I didn't promise anyone for a grand wedding. Pressing on heir or his betrothed I cannot marry them, nor are they married but they are still betrothed. So now I am stuck in a problem of my heir only able to break betrothal which will 99% bring me a war with another house and not able to marry the designated wife I planned for my heir.

Steps to reproduce​

Would like to say that I can but maybe by betrothing an heir but when time for marriage comes press promise a grand wedding. Put a wedding on and see if wedding gets cancelled.
