Description​

I can't arrange a Grand Wedding due to "being at an activity already" despite not being at an activity, and being able to go on hunts, start Grand Tours, and take stress relief decisions that are also banned while at actiivties.

Steps to reproduce​

1. Try to host a Grand Wedding, while not at an activity
2. Be informed you are at an activity and cannot prepare Grand Weddings

I have the same issue - other activity types are totally fine. I've done grand weddings prior to this in the same save so I reckon it might be the latest patch.

(Probably unrelated but there is an event that fired for me earlier in this save where a 'Prince' arrived as a court event and offered to marry my daughter for 150g and it seemed to create a grand wedding promise, but they both immediately became wanderers out of diplomatic range so I couldn't host one and lost a level of fame)

i got the exact same thing, but in my case one of the candidates was imprisoned. Dont feel its fair to punish the player in either case either way. Btw, did you get a pop up notification when it was time to host the wedding? Because its a pretty big deal if missed

I have had the same issue happen in my Ironman save (1066). And yes it is an unmodified game. I am including my save file to prove this.

As a Duke of Provence I betrothed my daughter to the heir of a neighboring French Dutchy. I used the Grand Wedding clause. She was younger than him so we had to wait for my daughter to turn 16. Then I got the 3 year countdown. Everything seems right so far. But when she turned 16 I did not organize the wedding right away because I was waiting until I had a little bit more money thinking it would be alright as long as I hit the organize activity button before the timer ran out. I could not have been more wrong.

At about 18 months mark I finally decided to start the activity BUT it turns out that I cannot go through with the wedding now! Because someone is "already involved in an activity". It turns out that the groom has been off campaigning as a commander in a war somewhere around Barcelona. In a war that already lasted for nearly a decade and probably won't end in next 16 months. Which is exactly how much time I have left until the Grand Wedding fails and I incur all the negative penalties. Hardly seems fair to punish a player for something that's out of their control and something that the game does not even warn them about (like if I was missing the funds needed for the wedding or have send my daughter on an activity intentionally and had her miss her wedding). Can there be a fix for this? Or otherwise it kind of ruins my Ironman save. Hopefully the devs can reply.

I already tried to close the game and reload the save and I did not change anything. The groom is still off campaigning happily while his bride waits haha

PS: I am having trouble finding my save to show here. I created this game on my Steam Deck and thought it saves into steam cloud folder (I was logged into my account on the paradox launcher and steam cloud saves were activated) but there is nothing in that folder. Even on my PC. Does CK3 even use cloud saves? And I tried but could not find this save in linux.

Can we get the devs to take a look at this ASAP. It's really immersion killing to have all your careful planning go to nothing over this silly issue. The groom and bride really should not be allowed to do activities that break the Grand Wedding like this.
