Can't change resolution on Fedora 30 (Linux) in menu or in settings.txt

Hi. I can't for some reason force the resolution I want on to the game. When game is windowed/borderless/fullscreen resolution won't change when I click the button. And outside the game writing to ~/.paradoxinteractive/Crusader Kings II/settings.txt does nothing: When I manually force the resolution say to 1368 x 768 the game overwrites it to 1920 x 1080. And when I change file permission of settings.txt with chmod to read only, game won't start.

Also game doesn't seem to take any input from my keyboard (can't use hotkeys) meaning I can only play with mouse.

Got any tips?
 
None of these are known problems with this game. Have they always been a problem for you with this game, or only since what change or update?

Does this affect HOI4 or EU4 also?

Please attach your Documents/Paradox/CK2/settings.txt.
From your Documents/Paradox/CK2/logs/ folder, attach system.log .

Also in Steam please click on Steam-Help-System Info, and paste everything there into a text file and attach that here.

To my understanding this situation turned out to be a fault on my part:
There's a high chance that due to the window manager I use I can't change resolution. Workaround is to change system resolution to desired and the game options are changed that way.

For the keyboard: Shift tabbing in game caused the issue of no input from keyboard. Why this is I have no clue, but consequently when I don't shift tab everything works just fine.
 
Shift tab invokes the Steam overlay, perhaps an issue there?
