Can't connect to LAN game in Windows7

Hi there,

As per the title, I'm having trouble connecting to LAN a hosted game.

I have 2 PC's running Armageddon 1.3 Public Beta 2 on Windows7 RC1.

Previously I have hosted and a WindowsXP user has connected fine, but we can't seem to get the two Windows7 boxes talking, no matter which of us is hosting. We can play other games over LAN with no issues.
We have checked to make sure there are exceptions added in Windows Firewall and also disabled the firewall completely, with no luck.

When we select Multiplayer > Local Area, there are no games found.

Wondering and hoping if anyone has any suggestions.

Try joining through Direct IP by typing the LAN IP there.

Hmm, I got mine working via LAN once, but not too often. I suggest you try the traditional direct IP, or just Hamachi. Forwarding ports might not be a bad idea either. HoI has a lot of these multiplayer "issues", so you might need to work at it a bit.

We tried the direct IP briefly with no luck, will try again though.

Does anyone know what protocol it uses for LAN games?
