Every time I try to do multiplayer, it comes up with a message saying 'Unable to connect to game server. This may be due to restricted firewall settings'.

Anyone know why it says this or how I can fix it?

you might need to uninstall and reinstall it
when the game launches there might be a pop up that roughly says "hey can we let this through the fire wall for stuff?"
you might have clicked no by accident (or on purpose, no idea)
i don't know how to go about tweaking this setting normally

but uninstalling and reinstalling then launching the game will usually reset things
