Well now, i've just got my second copy of EU2 ;) (first disc was kaput), however i find that i have a new problem on my hands.

My computer has recently acquired a new video card. A Radeon 9600 XT, so to run EU2 with it is like taking out a bug with a nuke ;), it should be no problem.

Ironically however, after installing the card, my EU2 doesn't work anymore! Whenever i double click the icon, my computer makes all these loading sounds, the screen turns black as if it is entering the game....but it stays black. It just stays there until my computer tells me that the program is not responding. I end the program and im back to square one :(

Heres the error signatures (if it means anything to the experts :():

szAppName : EU2.exe szAppVer : 1.0.0.1 szModName : hungapp
szModVer : 0.0.0.0 offset : 00000000

the following files are included in the error report:

C:\DOCUME~1\Default\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER374e.dir00\EU2.exe.mdmp
C:\DOCUME~1\Default\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER374e.dir00\appcompat.txt

I think the problem has to do with the running of the movie at the beginning, i'm not sure though.

Any suggestions?

Okay let's try some standard things.
1) Rename the AVI folder to AVI_back
2) Set the color depth to 16BIT
3) Turn off everything in the background like E-mail/ICQ/Messenger, Virus protection and everything in the system tray beside the clock.
4) Update your Windows, update your Video card drivers and audio card drivers. Then repeat steps 1-3.
