Can't find Ancient Artifact

Found Jumbo Cave and Bottomless Pit, and discovered pretty much the entire map (boy it took long to dig it all up). Can't find the Ancient Artifact, pretty sure I looked everywhere already. Any suggestions?

UPD: I tried a mod to remove FOW, but to no avail. :c

Can't see it, is it guaranteed to spawn every game?

It's possible that the Ancient Artifact didn't spawn this time. For me, I didn't have the Bottomless Pit on my first B&B game, and got the "Mysteries of Mars" achievement nonetheless.

Ohh, I see now, thanks. I assumed that you need all 3 for the achievement.
