I have been looking in my documents folder but i can only find logs and dlc_signature so i have been unable to to fix the the bug were the game will show the the cursor but the won't actually load I'm using windows xp.

If settings.txt is not in the MyDocuments folder, just above where the logs are, then the game crashed before it could be created.
please post your dxdiag.txt, settings.txt, system.log and error.log files (you'll need to rename the .log files to .txt to upload). Also open setup.log, search for "checksum", and paste that line only in here.
