Can't get game to run....help!!

Hi. I need some help. I'm not very computer literate so this is probably my own fault but I'm having trouble getting Iron Cross to work. Firstly I tried to run it with completely updated versions of HoI 2 and DD and Arm and I chose the Armageddon installation choice. I put the programme in it's own folder. It installed okay but when I went to run it I got an error message: --- excel file not found

I have no idea what this means. I haven't installed the patch for ICr yet. I then tried unistalling it and HoI 2, DD, and Armageddon and re-installed them all with out the patches, same error message. Any help would be appreciated. I got all of these games as direct downloads from Gamer's Gate. I also have AoD installed.

p.s. I haven't had Armageddon before now and have just had a look at it. I started the Abyss scenario and I'd just like to show my appreciation to the games developers for including a decent version of Australia to play. I know the version of Australia in the other games is historically accurate which is why we get so few research slots (though we've had some good inventions, of course not so many that are valuable in war time and I'm not just talking about ugg boots) and so little IC but it's still nice to be able to play a version of Australasia that doesn't have to worry about getting it's butt kicked by Nepal :) (apologies to the Nepalese, I was going to say New Zealand but they're part of Australasia so that wouldn't work)

Thanks so much, that helped immensely. Funny thing is this time when I installed Iron Cross I noticed the installation instructions at the start of the process. If I had of read that I could have saved myself a lot of trouble. Teach me to read things next time. Thanks again to you and to the person who helped us both. I really appreciate it.

Also install the patch 1.01 that comes with lot of fixes
