I can't get this loader to work.
I'm starting off with a clean install because I thought starting over might help. 1.8 killed my saves anyway.
The directions say to use "C:\Users\user_name\MyDocuments\MyGames\BattleTech\mods" as the directory. my computer didn't have that directory, so I tried making it didn't help. I did the same on my D: where MyDocuments actually are.
I searched for BTModSample and found it here "D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\BATTLETECH\BattleTech_Data\StreamingAssets\data\mods\HBS\ModSample"
I edited the .json file at this location and could verify this is where the game is reading from in the mod menu (by changing the name of the mod file).
However, mods placed in the mods, HBS, or ModSample folders won't read into the mod menu in game.
The instruction pdf is in the HBS folder.
I can't even get the simple 2 file mods like SkipIntro to be found and read.

Any thoughts or suggestions?
Thanks for any help you can give.

I would try enabling mods in the game and seeing if it then creates the folder in MyDocuments. The ModSample should show up as an available mod in the game, and maybe it gets copied to the intended location as part of the game running.

Though honestly, my gut feeling is that there's some kind of bug related to not having the MyDocuments folder in the default location... it seems like the kind of thing that people tend to forget to test during development.

Have you tried enabling the ModSample and seeing if that one at least does what it claims it should do?

Basically, I don't really have any other ideas for now. Maybe I could figure something out if I was able to poke at it myself, but sometimes you just hit the limit of what you can get other people's code to do. Filing a bug is probably worthwhile, but won't help you anytime soon. Sorry not to have any better suggestions.
