Cant install patch ?

I just dled the North American patch. Installed it. But when i launch the game it still says "Version 1.00" wth

When you installed HOI, did you change the location of where the game would be installed? The patch automatically searches for the game in C:\Program Files\Strategy first\Hearts of Iron....if you put the game somewhere else, the patch install wont work

I installed HoI into a different folder completely, and the patch installed properly to the correct location without me having to do anything...
