I recently have been trying to install EU2 again to no avail. Whenever I am installing, the installation reaches 2% and then reads "corrupt installation file" and asks me to abort or retry. If I retry, the process repeats itself, so I have no choice but to abort. Help!

Not much you can do if the Disk is bad.
Try cleaning it with glass cleaner, then wipe with lint free cloth.
Then try copying the entire CD to the Harddrive and install from there.

Is this on a new machine which has never had EU2 on it ? If not, you might check and do a complete uninstall before trying again, maybe there's a bad file on the hard disk.

If it's happening on a PC that's never had EU2 on it, then yes it's likely to be a CD or CD Drive problem.

You would not get that message from a previous install.

Yes, I've had the game installed like 4 times on this computer before. The last time I installed it, it gave me the same problem with the "corrupt file" messages. I fixed it somehow and had the game installed, but It was well over a year ago and I totally forgot what I did! The system is a Pentium 4 Dell with Windows XP on it.

Did you try what I said?

Yea, I both cleaned it with glass cleaner and tried to copy the files to HD. Unfortunately most of the files transfer, but it says setp.exe is protected or something, so it won't move it. Perhaps if I clean it better with glass cleaner it will work. After cleaning, the installation now makes it to 5%.

I'm pretty sure it's the north american version because it's published by Strategy First. However, I tried doing the Scandinavian patch installation but my computer dosen't recognize a .inx file as anything (I can't run it). Any other ideas? As of now I can reach 5% when trying to install, if that makes any difference.

I don't think you are suppoesed to run that file, run the other setup file.

Let me know how that goes, ie if you are able to install okay with his disk.
