So ive got this situation, im an independent king of normandy, my daughter is betrothed to a 8 year old king of aquitane, also independent ruler. Thats an alliance, right? So when he gets attacked by some french duke whos got a claim on kingdom of aquitaine, from my understanding of this i should be able to join his war, and yet the option to select a war is greyed out. Is this a bug or am i missing something? Is betrothal not an alliance? Is it not possible to join a child monarchs war? The tooltip that shows up when i have the war highlighted doesnt say "you cant join this war for this and that reason" like it does when i cant but instead it shows me the kingdom of aquitaine tooltip that shows the curernt holder, line of succession and succession law. Seems kinda like a bug but again maybe i dont understand something?
just found that when i move the cursor to a different part of the war selection it says "you cant be called as an ally against his liege or vassals" and now i have zero clue what that even means since hes got no liege nor is he fighting his vassals
