Hi there tried multiple methods on trying to get this to work each time results in cant connect to the host.

I'm on Steam and friend is on game pass

both are on version 3.1.2 tried disabling both mine and my friends anti-virus still doesn't work

Please someone tell me what I'm missing here?

You shouldn't be opting into any version in the Steam betas tab, as the released 3.1.2 now on Steam uses the same Nakama servers that Gamepass does.

Do you have the same checksum , as viewed in the MP lobby?

Does it matter who is host?

Can either of you play okay with some third person?

In order for Steam users and non-Steam users to play together, Steam users need to launch the Nakama Cross-Store multiplayer version of the game. In the launcher, click the down button next to Play, and then click "Cross-Store Multiplayer".

It's also important to note that if you're playing with mods, your mod lists will need to be in the exact same order in order for you to be able to connect to a multiplayer server together.

Hope this helps!
