I installed prison architect from the epic games launcher because it was free. upon attempting to launch, I got an error. I looked into other threads and nothing worked, so is there something special I have to do for the epic games version?

i had a lot of hours in this game as you can see, i one day felt like getting a nostalgia bomb so i tried to fire it up again. for some reason, the paradox launcher appears, i log in and its fine, but the second i try to launch the game, the whole process just closes. sorry to restart a old thread, but i didnt see any replies that were like this. any ideas why this happened, or a fix?
Please try this:
- uninstall PA from Epic
- unsubscribe from all mods
Delete the following folders if still present:
- Epic - PA
- C:/users/<UserName>/AppData/Local/Introversion/Prison Architect/
(keep any valued save games, of course)
To see the AppData folder you'll need to enable View Hidden Items in File Explorer.
Now install PA again and see how that goes please!
IF still a problem, Please attach here the game log C:\Users\{UserName}\AppData\Local\Introversion\Prison Architect\debug.txt

AND DXDIAG is a program you run from the Windows search box on the task bar. After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.
