Can't log into paradox account in game

Description​

When in the main menu multiplayer is inaccessible due to not being logged in, trying to log in comes back with "unknown error"

Happens on start-up every time

Just posting to say that I have the exact same issue. Multiplayer worked totally fine last week, but now suddenly I am not being given the option of signing into my paradox account ingame.
