Having an issue where I can raise my armies, but am unable to get them to move to another county. Every once in while, they'll be able to move to one county but no others, then are stuck there unable to move. On the occasion that I can get an army to move to a county, the move can't be cancelled (not related to the new movement lock, it is stuck immediately upon beginning movement and occurs with lock on or off). Everything else plays as normal, but it is just right-clicking to move troops that doesn't seem to work. This includes moving from county to county within my own realm.

All DLC including Holy Fury active, 3.0 (QXTU), no mods, ironman, right-click works in menus. Have tested in multiple parts of the map, with and without the new movement lock on when starting the game. Have uninstalled and reinstalled, with no change. Playing through Steam, Windows 7.

Anyone else had something like this happen? Only began yesterday with the new DLC / update.

Then it seems this is nothing to do with the new patch, but some local issue.

What mouse do you have? Try a different one, preferably wired rather than wireless.

Currently using a wired Logitech G300s. In game, I am able to use the right click function (dismiss alerts, pull up the character menus on portraits, etc.), just not on the map itself. Tried another wired mouse with no luck.

I really don't know then, I've never seen such a problem since this game was released over 6 years ago.

Does this affect EU4 also?

Just installed EU4 to test that out. Only DLC I have for that game is 110 Years War Unit, Conquest of Constantinople, Horsemen of the Crescent Unit, Purple Phoenix, Star and Crescent, and Women in History.

Tested it out in a few different scenarios of nations and start date, and in each I was able to use right-click to move land and naval units with no issue.

What if you disable all DLCs for CK2 in its launcher, and try a new game with that?

Do you have any special mouse software active, maybe a Logitech driver or custom mouse cursors, anything like that?

I do have the Logitech Gaming Software 9.0.0 installed. To test, I set it to not open upon startup and rebooted. I checked my task manager and no Logitech programs were running. Still having the issue with troop movement, even with the mouse software disabled.

Sheesh! I have no idea at all where to go with this one. We have no clues really where the problem might lie. How very strange!

Do you have access to any other computer to do a test installation of the game on? Just to confirm it is an issue with this particular one.

Sorry to be the black sheep! Logged in with my Steam account on another desktop PC and installed the game. Running all DLC, Windows 10, wireless mouse. No issues with troop movement on that system.

Okay so does that same wireless mouse work okay on the original system?

If not install and run the free utility Speccy. Export its output to a text file and attach that here please.

Alright, I probably sound like a crazy person.

Used the mouse that worked on the other PC on my PC, and troop movement worked as normal. Switched over to my original mouse, exit and restart game, troop movement worked as normal. Just to be thorough, I turned my Logitech software back on, booted CK2, new game, and troop movement worked as normal.

All DLC are turned on, set to the current patch (3.0 PXTU), all other items from before are the same.

So not sure what changed, but the problem seems to be resolved. Thank you for working on it with me! If there is any data I can provide that may be of use to you or others should this pop up again somewhere, just let me know.
