Hej!

Should I write in English or in Swedish when it's about the Swedish edition?
Anyway.

I'm Sweden, it's October 13, 1534, I'm at war against Denmark and want to offer Denmark peace (the war is going out of my hand). But I find the option to offer peace 'greyed out' (do you understand what I mean?) and I get a message that says I can't offer peace before December 1533. What is this all about?

I have also found several words in English like, 'Go to' instead of 'Gå till'.

I'm using the Swedish patch 1.05b.
When do we get a Swedish 1.07 patch?

The language in this forum is english, but it sounds to me like you've sent a peace offer or otherwise sent a diplomat to Denmark in the near past. Since your diplomat are traveling to Denmark for one month, you've got to wait to deal with any country for 1 month after you've sent a diplomat to them...

Actually, your dimplomat get to the other country immediately, but you cannot send another one to that country for a month.

Which brings forth an interesting idea.
Wouldnt it be nice (ie harder) if it took a month to actually get your diplomat to the country?
That way peaces, wars, marriages and so forth wouldnt happen 'instantly' but have a lag of one month before you get the result...

Well, maybe war would be instant, but the other diplomatic missions would recuire a bit more planning. That way the ability for blitzkrieg is limited, as you cannot ask for peace the instant you see the opponents frightenly humongous army comming at you.

I'll guess I'll tip Hartman on this.

Hello Simna, you've probably missed an earlier peace offer by the enemy, indicated by a small flag in the upper right hand corner of the screen.
I've seen this happen more often. To get rid of the date in the past, you just offer them ssomething else, that does work, like exchange of maps, royal marriage, insult. After that you should be able to offer peace again.

greetings, Oranje

'it's October 13, 1534 ... ...I can't offer peace before December 1533.'

Had a lot of problems with this when I first began too.
This is the message I get when I try to offer a peace and, at the same time, the AI is trying to offer me one too. Check for small flags to your upper right of the screen. Click them and answer. If you decide not to accept, try offering a peace again and it should work.

Opps sorry, Oranje beat me too it.
Anyway, this seems to bee common enough problem for newbies to perhaps be addressed in a patch ?
The message should read perhaps read 'you have accept or reject other offerings before offering one of your own'. Shure would be a lot more intuitive then whet you get =)

You can adjust the way various messages are displayed in one of the menus. I used to have problems with the exact same thing, but now all peace offers pop up as small windows, so I won't miss them anymore.
