Can't promise a grand wedding

Description​

I've done two Grand Wedding during my current character's lifetime - for himself and his sister (nobody died), but the last one was 22 years ago, and since then they can't promise any GW - it always says 'You can only promise one Grand Wedding at the same time', even if both targets are adults and I have enough money.

Steps to reproduce​

1) Try to promise a Grand Wedding
2) Fail cuz ????

I am having the same issue, I thought it might be character-limited but apparently not, I had a succession and have reloaded the game twice and still cannot marry with a grand wedding. This is the second game in a row now that I have only been able to have a single grand wedding before it starts telling me that I cannot "plan more than one at once". I have not been married before as this character and I have no other active betrothals on any family member.


Edit: I should clarify, I am going for the Habsburg achievement. I have so far done one Grand Wedding with my first guy, and have not been able to do any further grand weddings. All my weddings after the point had to be normal weddings only, which kind of puts a damper on the achievement when you need at least 5.

Description​

I have only managed to do one grand wedding per game in my last 2 games, trying to do another grand wedding gives me an error of "You can only promise one Grand Wedding at a time" despite the fact that the Grand Wedding has been done for many years in both cases, and in the case I have posted, I have even gone through a succession and reloaded the game multiple times. This character has never been married.

Steps to reproduce​

1) Try to promise a Grand Wedding after having done one in the game previously. I am not certain if it is an issue where sometimes the game just doesn't clear some flag somewhere about "Currently promising Grand Wedding", like if for some reason the event that ended the grand wedding was not clearing a flag of that kind properly.

Also have this issue in the game I started today, except mine was after a single one and can't still do it after switching to his heir.

I tend not to do grand wedding unless I can do them immediately, as way too many feud started while one or both side were still minor, because for some unknown reason it got cancel.

I have exactly the same issue thas is also preventing from getting "A.E.I.O.U. & Me" achievement.

Is it a bug ?

I've the same issue but out of curisioty (it might help them find the issue), the last grand wedding that actually worked did you make a betrothal without grand wedding and when they could get married (you know the pop up on the top of the screen), you then toggled grand wedding option?

I'm asking because that's what I did with the 1 grand wedding I was able to do and after that I no longer can do grand weddings.
 
Same problem. On the first playthrough in the new patch, the wedding worked for my character and several sons/daughters. Then the button became inactive and says 'You can only promise one Grand Wedding at the same time'. I thought it was a save bug and started a new game. And now, after first Grand Wedding, this function does not work, in every new game. One playthrough - one Grand Wedding. An interesting point, when switching to another character - this function works for him. It doesn't work for your character. No mods

I don't remember that for sure now, unfortunately. But I believe I always toggled GW option when I was arranging betrothal, not when it poped-up upon both spouses-to-be reaching 16

As @Baron Bratwurst said, I've fixed this, if you already are affected you'll have to wait 1 year (probably less) for it to go away (1 year, because it's a loop that is triggered every 365 days, so it will depends when you get the mod for it to be cleared)

For me it doesn't fix the bug. Only one grand wedding is available, after that this option is not available with the explanation 'You can only promise one Grand Wedding at the same time'. I think we need to wait for the official fix. Since all other events work fine, except for weddings. As I understand it, weddings worked fine in patch 1.9.1, patch 1.9.2 broke it.

Just wait at least 1 year and you should be fine (if it's not the case send over your save, I'll see if you have another case of this issue)
