Can't re-install HOI2, CD has issues

I recently got a new computer and I am attempting to reinstall HOI2, but it seems that the CD has been damaged and I cannot install it. Since I am planning on buying Doomsday, perhaps I should just wait, but I'm getting impatient and want to know what I can do to get a good copy.

The message I get is: "Cannot copy data2: Data error (cyclic redundancy check)". It basically happens whenever data2.cab is read or copied. The disk shows a little wear and tear, and I have tried cleaning it, with no luck. II have tried several CD drives, and have had no luck.

How can I go about getting a replacment?

Have you tried copying the whole CD to the Hardrive?

.I tried to copy the file to my machine. I brought it into my test lab at work (I'm in IT) and couldn;t get it to read on several machines.

The surface on the disk has a little wear and tear, but nothing too obvious.


What can I do?

Yes, I would agree. In fact, I already come to that conclusion before I started this thread. ;-)

My question is, as a registered user of the product(as well as Diplomacy, HOI1, EU1&2, CK) can I get a replacement?
