 I had to wipe my hard drive and I'm trying to reinstall HOI2 doomsday. Every time I hang at 54% on the same file for some japanese bomber and get this message:

Component: core files
file group: common
file: D:\data2.cab
error: data error (cyclic redundancy check)

does this mean my CD is fried? Have I any options?

1. Dirty CD -- try wiping it with a cloth.

2. Try to copy the entire contents of the CD to your harddrive.... then install from that location.
