Now that the all clear has been given I was giving this game another try. And of course I wanted to try to build the big bad leviathans, but the option to research it doesn't show up. I've researched Turret Instalation, I've researched Battle Riders. I've also got Anti Matter, Node Pathing, and cutting beams and railguns for the big mounts. What else do I need? Where is the options supposed to show.

I encountered this situation a while back. I don't remember what tech it was that I was missing, but I want to say that it was one of the C3 techs. Perhaps Carrier COmmand, glancing at the wiki.
According to http://sots2.rorschach.net/Carrier_Command, Carrier Command has Leviathan Contruction as a prequisite, not the other way around. And that is probably true because I have researched Flag Central Command, and I can't research Carrier Command from that.
No I didn't, and now that I have it I can research Leviathans.
Is it just humans who need that particular tech? Cause I could have played through 2 or 3 games without guessing that one.

I believe it is all races. Was mentioned on the Kerb forums a while back if memory serves.
