With the low range of DDs and the requirement that you must have them with a fleet for ASW operations, im finding it very hard to move my fleets around. I dont understand why i cant rebase at an ally's naval port...

Im trying to sail a fleet into the black sea, and have military access with Turkey, but the game refuses to let me move my fleet ther.e Why?

Yes, but you probably clicked on the Greek port after just selecting the unit? Choose the Rebase mission from the unit itself and THEN click on the Greek port. Maybe I should just quote myself, because this is exactly what I just wrote. Please read posts rather than just skim and assume what I'm writing.

I'm one-handed for the time being after breaking my right arm so the extra typing is annoying - when I'm in fact just repeating myself.

Why doesnt it show up in the list as a valid mission type then? And btw, we were at war. I know you said to select rebase then clicking on the port but by right the right click menue should have all available mission types.

I had the same issue as America during peace. TO rebase to the Philliphines during peace I had to have military access with them. I know that with Turkey, to go throught the strait you have to be an ally at times of war so I don't know.

The USA does now have Military Access to the Philippines, so this shouldn't be a problem in CORE.

As regards the issue of Turkey & the Dardanelles, my understanding is that the straits are closed to all except allies once war breaks out. I believe this includes other people being at war, not just Turkey itself.

I'd prefer the Dardanelles to be like the Panama Canal - anybody can transit, but enemies are blocked in times of war. At least, I've seen the Japanese and Brits transit the Panama Canal before war broke out and I was allied as the US.

Hi,

I don't see it happening. Paradox has it set this way for a reason and I doubt they will change it this late in the game. Of course you are free to lobby them, but I wouldn't expect anything.
