Me and my friend have tried several times to play a game of stellaris together and whenever we log off and try to get back in I see every empire that was there except mine, and I don't have a way of getting into my empire. I did some experimenting with other players and they seem to be having the issue as well where on the counsel edition you can't select your unable to select your nation that you played in the section screen.

Yes, I have seen the occasional other report like this. You'll probably find reports of it in the Bug Reports forum; if so please add your details there, and attach an affected save game there too.
