Can’t start a new game.

I am in the chracter selection sceeen and can’t start a game. I select a character and can’t start a game, instead click on the map to select a character... is still present.

I have a new laptop with windows 10, I was able to play the tutorial.

That will be present either way. You have to press "Play" at the bottom right.

There was no play button only select random character.

I can check again tomorrow, but I tried to find the play button 10 times this morning.

"Select random character" is the dice icon to the left of the Play and Back buttons.

IF you can't see these, then you can't see what you should and maybe the game is in a non-working resolution
or your "Fullscreen optimisation" or "Scaling on high DPI values" settings in Win10 messes with you or....

I would recommend to try to change the Window Mode in Options/Video and/or resolution to see if that makes a difference (requires restart).

Either way i would prefere to leave it then to you and official tech support to fix this.

I found the issue, there was a message from steam blocking the play and back buttons.

This is really embarrassing! But you live and learn.
