Just a question how do I replace my capital in the deusvult version?

Just a question how do I replace my capital in the deusvult version?

Give your current one away to a vassal ... that is the easiest way :)

The capital will always be the one with the highest income within your main title area. To move it out of your main area you'll need to give away all the provinces that make up that title.

Then it moves to a province which has your culture. If none are found, thenone of the same religion .. and if that isn't available either, then the one with the highest income.

I am not 100% on this though, but it works something like that :)

*waits for Veld to drop by and give the exact order*

I think you're (at least 90%) correct. I don't think it checks for religion though, if it can't find a same-culture province in step 2.

So, for example, I was the Duke of Aquitaine, Occitan Culture, Catholic (of course). I joined the reconquista and created the Kingdom of Aragon, which became my primary title. My capital became my demesne province of Barcelona, which is part of Aragon. Later, as I conquered more (this was a DV unmodded WC game), and granted away all my Aragon lands, the capital moved to Alexandria at some point (not sure if there was something else in between), since I didn't have any demesne lands in Aragon, or that would have been Occitan culture. Then even later to Venice, which was even wealthier.

I am at least 91% sure that it checks for religion too ... though I can't remember if it checks culture or religion first :)

AFAIK he checks religion first and then culture

So it would be something like this:

Capital is in richest province:

1. In area of main title
- Where religion matches ruler's
- or if not, then where culture matches ruler
- or if not, then just wealthiest non-religion, non-cultured province

2. If no provinces in Main title area:
- province which matches ruler's religion
- or if not, then province that matches culture
- or if not, then just non-religion, non-culture province

Is that right?? ... or does it calculate both on religion and culture?? .. so it would be af all the provinces of same religion, it would take the wealthiest with same culure, even if there was a wealthier non-cultured?? ... or will it only check culture, if no same-religion provinces can be found in the area??

Yes. one of those criteria :)

I really don't know for sure and once you think you know the game still does something else then you expected.
