One question, would it be possible to export the Job Titles and Job Actions file to folder structures? I ask here as you seem to be on a major push towards mod compatibility and these would be some of the last remaining files to make modular.

Already done, there is an update about it a few pages back.

Functions are great, much obliged, but wouldn't it be better if they were read from a folder rather than single shared files, mod-compatibility-wise? If possible, of course.
They are in folders in the common folder.

Gars, will these features definitely be held back until a new DLC? Or is it possible we might see them sometime in the next month ?

I am going to ask, Captain, are any of the files now still not folder based? And is there any chance we may see some more untangling done on papal succession method to enable it for feudal states? (Could be interesting for an Holy Roman Empire council of electors sort of thing)

There's plenty of files outside of /common which still need to be copied in order to mod them ...
But where does it end? ;)

Looking forward to some new scripting features too.

Too be honest, if this new patch is entirely qol and optimisation with a look towards CKII as a story telling platform that would be amazing. I am hoping however to seeing an extension in scripting commands however to enable more variety in scripting. Even just allowing the console commands to be used in scripts would be amazingly powerful.

Alternatively being able to target armies and provinces directly could be highly useful as well. By targeting directly I mean something like a targeted decision.

No, I have no plans on revisiting Papal succession (and probably not any other succession either) due to the complexity of it.

What about fixing Enatic-Cognatic's glitch with the second daughter with a son first rule from agnatic-cognatic? It actually makes it so that sons with daughters are after sons without right now. Specifically, if I'm using Enatic-Cognatic Primogeniture succession and only have male children, if my first son has a daughter, he is now second in line after my second son. Unless all your sons have daughters, whichever one doesn't have a daughter will be your heir. This is a very problematic system under enatic-cognatic, since it promotes staying with male rulers when that's obviously not what you want if you're using enatic.

Not even a way to make Enatic republics viable?

I don't think you that you guys heard the man-- read again. ;)

Succession laws are not moddable, only the conditions for passing them, which are in decisions/succession_laws.txt

The Captain is perfectly capable of ignoring or shutting people down, he doesn't need you to play defense.
Besides, the issues that they brought up are legitimate and may sway him into taking a look at the bugs in EC succession.
I don't think that its likely, but its fair to point them out.

I doubt that the republic issue will be changed unless they actually revise republics as a whole. The other is a straight up bug that I've reported a few times but it's never been fixed.
