I'm cranking up to play Russia in the IGC. A couple of questions:

1. Several of my neighbors have permanent CBs vs. Russia. How can I find out which of my provinces they are claiming?

2. Russia starts with a vassal (Kazan). How do I tell how much income per year/ month I am getting from a vassal?

Thanks!

1.> It's listed in the save file somewhere. Not possible to find out in-game.

2.> Haven't a clue. :D

Actually, you just get a monthly income from the vassal - half the vassal´s monthly province taxes. Well then, how do you know how much you get? Easy! If you don´t have any vassal at all, your accumulated monthly province taxes for one year equals your yearly census tax (sometimes it differs by a couple of ducats, if you had conquered a province during the year, but anyway...). So you only have to look in the ledger at January 1st, and compare the monthly province taxes collected during the previous year with the census tax. If you have a vassal, the province taxes will be greater than the census tax by the exact (or almost exact) amount of accumulated monthly income you got from the vassal during the previous year. Voila!

At least the manual says so... ;)

No, yes. :D

Don´t think so. I always have a substantially larger province tax (over 12 months) than census tax when I have vassals. When I don't have vassals, the province taxes and census tax are the same. So, my conclusion is that you don't get any yearly $...

I know, but the manual has been wrong before...

I´m not 100 % sure though, but I haven´t noticed any increase in yearly income after I got me a vassal. Has anyone out there?

Here's a problem I have, I can't vassalize Ryazan we have it all were allies, marriage, +200 relations but the problem is whenever I click on vassalize they always say no I've tried it literally tons of times. I don't know what's wrong did I do anything wrong???

You have the requisites for offering vassalisation, that doesn't mean they'll automatically accept. If they are strong, wealthy, stable and not immediately threatened, what's in it for them?

The obvious solution having read the above is, if you want to vassalise them make them less strong, poorer, and unstable. Just after they fight a war is a good time to ask.. especially if they started it and lost :D
