Hi there

The CD-Key is only used for registering the game and thus recieving support and updates.
I dont know the correct checksum for 1.02 - however ZBVR seems to ring a bell and sounds right...

What is your problem excactly?

Im trying to join online games and it gives Wrong version error. Players say right version is (xuwr) its strange since i have not modified eny file on the game and i have reinstalled the game if somehow it was modified but still my version is ZBVR
Thanks for answering

Since the checksum is indeed used by analyzing files, and you dont recieve an error that a file is missing , a file must have been changed either on your PC or on the other players.

I am currently installing to check checksum.

But lets assume the rest of the world is correct, and you did not intentionally change any files - would it be possible that a malicius software program(virus / trojan / spyware) has done it?

XUWR here with Gamersgate... Could it be a problem with the Steam version having some changes (it wouldn't be the first time..) ?

I would think that it would have been noticed before - a lot of users use steam...

Could any steam users please report their checksum here?

I have the steam version, and I also have version ZBVR. I bought the game not only because I am a HOI fan since the original HOI but also because I have a group of players that I play with frequently. They of course used GG to get theirs and I used steam which leaves me high and dry for the moment.

Please if a Mod or anyone has a solution post it on here.

As one of the players that Kaiser mentioned, can anyone help with this problem? It seems the steam version has a different checksum then the GG version. Henceforth we can no long play together. BQEL is the checksum for GG 1.03 version.
