That is doable, but it will not be downloaded separately - I like to have everything in one place - but only placed in a separate folder.

In other news I made some minor improvements - too small to consider releasing edition III, but should be enough for an annex to the main thing.

I am going to prepare better icons for Japan before releasing anything - so it should appear in a couple of days.

Release tomorrow or on Tuesday.

I am going to add couple of things, some of them might tempt to start a new campaign, but for 90% of new features it will not be necessary.

list of changes/additions:

- new unit - air lifted/transported division,
- new unit - artillery division (will take unused motorized division slots),
- new icons and images,
- changed OOB for CZE,
- slightly changed OOB for POL (three units slightly modified - based on some detailed research and common sense),
- research modifer added (adds from 0 to 40% research speed based on a size of a country - is decreased if the country grows),
- added 11th Infantry Division event for POL as a part of mountain divisions chain,
- Estonia will join the Allies as supposed to if Baltic Aliance events are activated,
- Poland and CZE rebalanced - both should be more realistic to play.
- two new commanders for POL,
- POL (Chief of Staff) Rydz-Smigly and Stachiewicz receive new minister traits,

Download will include a patch for those who want to continue old campaigns - many features will activate.

- new unit - air lifted/transported division,
- new unit - artillery division (will take unused motorized division slots),

Now that's really annoying. Because everything else was great. Why can't you restrain yourself from mixing useful and interesting features and global overhauls of questionable quality and interest?

Because I can and I know those slots will never be used for anything else and that is the case here - air lifted divisions use three slots in paratrooper file - 3 are occupied right now while artillery division/group uses the last slot in motorized division file which is free and because these divisions won't be available in a normal way they pose no danger to the game.

Besides all such features are event activated and optional based on player's choice so are also unavailable to the AI (unless someone leaves them open by choosing a different country).
This way they cannot be treated as very important features so aren't worth the term 'global overhaul'.
Just like with the river flotillas which should be used as adviced, but with no possibility to limit player's choices to break the rules or even to read them.

Of course in the case of air transported divisions the difference is these units can be recruited/produced in normal way, but since are event activated and events will fire only for non-AI factions I see no major problem.

I tend to enjoy small features almost only added for flavour.

Excellent. Is there a changelog of some sort? :)

Very small, but here it goes

- once more rebalancing CZE and POL,
- changed CZE OOB - in shape I am supporting for the next CORE release,
- new units - air transported divisions (heavy paratrooper divisions), artillery divisions and weird special ops. units - all optional as always,
- new icons and images,
- a couple of new events,
- a set of events helping with research correcting research speed for smaller countries - they really need it and cannot afford 100% speed in many cases,

Also there is another experimental set of events dealing with Hungary reforming its army. Originally it should be available only if HUN army loses a number of divisions - historically it happened after 2nd HUN army was destroyed - but I left it up to a player.
Activated by 1943 infantry division and 1938 infantry division techs the second comes from doctrine techs).

I'm working off a clean install of CORE and a clean install of your pack. Happened five straight times.

If it happens only to the USA it is not my error.

With any more complicated changes I am going to wait till 0.41 for AoD 1.05 is ready.

This means if I release something it will be limited to graphics so that nothing is changes except the visual features.

Today I finally finished reviewing resources of the Narodowe Archiwum Cyfrowe (NAC) well known among people interested in images from the period.
I finished searching the category named (suprise!) 'the military' with barely 1100+ pages including some amazing images I decided to use for portraits and model pictures.

Examples, hope you like them:

Intriguing that for a country with no real mountain infantry there is a great variety of images of soldiers in very diverse uniforms.

The thing I really enjoyed is that I've finally found some good images for my older TTs - usually taken from photographs made during various celebrations.

I will release it in a download before the presidential elections, so the next Sunday. It will only include the images - nothing else - unless a CTD scale error is found.
Caused by something from my pack obviously.

There will be probably no images for countries other than Poland, though I am working on a set of JAP icons - I will need them before starting a game, I really hate half-measures.

All right. Not only Poland will receive new images.

Baltic States are the next in line, especially Latvia

note that the images aren't finished yet - lack of frames is not intentional

I am also revising leader lists with new images prepared for these countries.

It should be much easier to find all new images for certain countries in folders from now on.

I should be ready with Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and maybe also with Poland which requires much more effort due to the massive number of leaders - my fault...

What's not to like? ;)

All right I am done, but unfortunatelly I had to expand all four commander lists - there are as many as 80 new commanders overall.
The main source was this site:

http://generals.dk/generals.php

This had to include some changes in events for POL - the communist leaders had to be activated and deactivated in some events.
There are as many as 50 of them now which might prove useful for any projects working on a separate entity - communist POL revolter or however called it might be.

There are also two other changes:

- POL starts with locked garrison in Brest Litovsk with infantry tank battalion (FT 17s) which can be sold to Spain,
- HUN infantry reform has changed triggers and AI priorities following real life HUBA III rearmament plan where alliance with GER is not necesary, but some researched techs are as before.

I can declare POL leader list as officially closed - after over a year of work.
I can only expect minor changes if I get new photographs to prepare better portraits or perhaps some minor corrections.
POL Secret State list will see some new commanders, but they are not suitable for 'regular' leader list and POL in exile will use some leaders from the basic list, just like the communist puppet.
I hope I will get some results with CZE and maybe LIT later, but frankly speaking it is exhausting work which took a large part of my spare time I can spent on myself so it is far from a priority.

Still I'd like to release a crude form of this pack as a separate mod for vanilla AoD including most rudimentary concepts, especially the event modified leader list.
Won't take much time because it will be a bunch of events and some OOBs I've prepared with different triggers, but I'd like to 'sell it' as completely and unconditionally mine so I'd have to remove contents which aren't my work.

Maybe this way I'll get my 'night fighter' trait finally.

Once more, I must confess that I'm truly impressed by your work !
If only you could do the same for France, Italy, the UK, the USA etc...:D

Rising POL leader list to 551 leaders and revisiting GEO, UKR, LAT, LIT and EST commander files must be enough.;)

I will release it in the next week, hopefully after the president is chosen.

Hmmm... but if someone guesses who is on the two portraits in the lower left corner of the last screenshot - in my opinion on of the best POL commander of the campaign in 1939 - I will upload it on Sunday. ;)

It will sound vain, but I am quite sure some of them are the beast freaking portraits made for this game.
Digitalised high quality photographs are amazing resource.
