I thought I would try out the Duchy of Toscana (in DVIP)... just for laughs. And the major problem with that is that the duchess is married to the Duke of Lower Lorraine (LOLO) ... so after my first child, a daughter, is born, I thought I would go into the save and change her dynasty to match my duchess'. Since there are no other of the di Canossa dynasty in the game, she will never be able to create an heir to her dynasty.

I went in and found Matelda's dynasty value and then found her daughter Gisela. Now for some reason Gisela's TAG is 'LOLO' ... which I thought was the court she belonged to. But she is present in my court.

So I changed TAG to 'TUSC' and the DYN to '101556' (di Canossa). But whenever I start my save game, I get an fatal error after it has read the scenario.

So I am obviously doing something wrong :) .... but what??

hhmm ... Weird ...i am pretty sure that 'TUSC' is what my TAG said in my save game. But I have to check when I get home from work. I basically just copied the TAG value from Matelda to Gisela.

Do you know why the kid would get the TAG of her father and not her mother, even when she is living in the court of her mother??

Thanks Veld ... seems you were absolutely right :)

I had used TUSC and not TOSC. I don't know why I did that. I was sure I had copy/pasted the value.

yeah ... but seems strange ... I changed the TAG for Gisela ... and now that I have been in to edit Matelda's next two daughters to the corret dynasty, I noticed that Gisela again had the TAG = LOLO.

Maybe I shouldn't care too much about that just yet :) ... we will see if I can foster her off when she gets older. If I can, then she is in my court.

I think maybe I need to edit in female inheritance for my little duchy
