Hi,

Early game I had bad luck with a strong neighbor, I agreed to become a vassal with the intention to get my independence later.

However, it's been 150 years in the game and I didn't get any chance because I can't declare a war of independence while the overlord has a truce, which is 10 years long, and this overlord keeps declaring a war 3-4 years after every truce, and each war is taking 30-40 years to finish! I'm stuck and have no option because of this 10 years truce.

What's even worse, this ''overlord'' has been on ''pathetic'' relative power compared to me for 50 years! In the end I got bored and had to abandon the game because I don't want to wait 100 more years for a chance.

We should have the option to get independence with more flexibility than this!

Diplomacy as a whole needs a massive overhaul. Without exaggeration Stellaris has the worst peace deal interaction I've seen in any strategy game, hands down.
