Hey everyone i found a way to increase the map size! it is much better! .Its simple !
C:\Program Files (x86)\Paradox Interactive\Arsenal of Democracy - A Hearts of Iron Game.. at the bottom is a file called setting open with word and change screen
size from 1086 to 1366 .its really nice!

I installed over AOD and the launcher for that changes the screen res and then runs IC. Also AOD is no longer available but I don't care much about that

Please note that the method you use depends on what HOI you install it over.
1. AOD--use the launcher if you want or perhaps the above
2. ARMA--use set up program OR edit ironcross.cfg
3. DH-- something else maybe, don't own it.

I have requested elsewhere (http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/showthread.php?610977-1.03-beta) for documentation about these matters, how to configure the game and other key differences, either in a manual (which I'm getting the distinct impression won't happen) or sticky threads/FAQ somewhere.
