This is going to be bigger than US Steel!

Paradox is known for usually missing on the first release but rebounding strong through DLC. They have that shiny new building in Stockholm to prove it. The pattern seems to be in effect here.

On this forum I have expressed more than a passing interest in the career of Meier Suchowlanski; prize pupil of Arnold Rothstein, trusted by Salvatore Luciani, an intermediary to American intelligence; and, most importantly - he holds the leash of the most lethal killer in America - Benjamin Hymen Siegel, the only man to put a bullet into Joe 'Da Boss' Massaria and Joe Maranzano before he got on a train and took over LA, laying the seeds of Las Vegas along the way. And Cuba? Fuhgetaboutit.

So NY is too small and The Mob's Accountant is coming to Chicago? The new rackets will be contract hits where bosses can pay to get rid of their enemies, or get paid themselves for eliminating the enemy of others. aka, The Bugs and Meyer Gang, aka, 'Murder, Inc'. Murder for hire.

No one is smarter than Meyer. When Benny hit Massaria he went in dressed as a Jewish IRS agent and was let in without being frisked by the Italian Roman Catholics with a known distaste for the Sons of Abraham. But who is the brain behind the hit? Meyer, not (s)Bugsy(/S) Benny. And Meyer was well paid by Charlie for his efforts.

Meyer takes the cash, Benny does the shooting. The core of Jewish killers forming Lansky's 'Murder, Inc' come out 'The Bugs & Meyer Gang'. And I assume this is 'The Fixers' with a custom crew of killers like Kid Twist and friends?

BTW, Brenda and/or Romeros, if you read this, was Paulie Goldstein actually an early prototype of Benny Sigel? The Bugsy little voice made him one of my favorite shooters in the game, I never liked it when he was on the other Bosses payroll. I liked him just fine by my side.

For a fun twist PLEASE put a picture of Arnold Rothstein on the wall of Meyer's office someplace as an Easter Egg. On the wall a map of SE US ports and 'Cuba'.

When you record the voiceover for Vincent Alo, 'Johnny Blue Eyes', aka Hyman Roth's 'Sicilian Messenger Boy'; you might want to mimic the Jack Nicholson version from American Hustle to add some flavor rather than the traditional Dominic Chianese gravel.

And if you're bringing Benny, you might as well bring along 'Handsome Johnny' Roselli and his sniper rifle. He would make an easy transition to the Black Book and has the skins on the wall (Benny in the Living Room and JFK from the culvert beneath the overpass) to prove it.

Good luck, hoping for the best.

BTW, next on your hit list: Frank Costello, the Prime Minister of the Mob. The Man who has all the judges and laywers in his pocket. When you redo the police/political aspect; there is your axis around which you can build.

Edit:

Precincts. Got it. Political precincts. Police precincts. Criminal precincts. You now, or will, have the ability to drill down payoffs on a neighborhood level organized by precincts. Which requires a bagman.

I'm a Texan. I know Ma Ferguson. This woman can easily swap out for the 'Prime Minister' since she was a Texas governor and SKILLED in political payoffs like few before or after. Legendarily so. She can walk into a saloon of politicians and criminals and be right at home, and in Texas that is usually the same saloon anyhow.

It is all making sense. Better and better!

Thanks Andre! You know that we appreciate your feedback but I'm here just telling you again. :)

Did you manage to ask any of these questions during our PDXCON Q&A (I don't recall seeing them so I wanted to check)? If not, they would be great to ask at our next Q&A!

Yes. I was at the q and a. I specifically asked about mob controlled businesses like ‘Olive Oil’ / concrete / trash as a revenue stream. Then I heard Lansky’s name and started doing backflips because Meyer means Bugsy and Murder Inc.

I remember that question. :) You've always got some good ones on hand so feel free to stock them up for the next Q&A!

Meyer is not coming to town. Very disappointing, but when the Devs are more disappointed then you are it is hard to blame them for the problem.

I haven't heard of the recent update. Were they not able to get rights to Meyer or is there another reason he isn't included?

They will only say 2 words. Confidentiality. IP. And they do not sound happy. Your imagination must do the work, and if nothing else I have a vivid imagination.

A quick google search including the words EU, IP, Meier Lansky suggests an educated guess involving lawyers doing lawyer stuff. and if the guess is correct we don’t need to cause the Romero’s extra problems by saying it out loud.

It makes no sense that the entire legacy of a famous human being can be controlled by lawyers. But it is what it is.
