If IC and MP ppurposes, so Algeria must be france core, and certainly on the late game the bulk of the french africa (anyway in 44, the french army called herself the 'negroe army', and it's still under that nickname we pay respect to those who died during the provence debarquement (the monument commemoring that have also that nickname).

For those who feel 'negroe' have a rude word, I would like also precise in french the meaning was different at those time, a.k.a. Josephine Baker and the 'negroe parade' (la revue negre).

France could also claim Luxembourg (create as independant country because it was not wise to allow Germany or France to have it), the south a belgium (the question was existing in Belgium at that time), the north western part of the Turin province (Val d'Aoste, Trend and a small bunch of villages that decided to be french in 1946).

Spain could have claim on Perpignan (catalogne), France can also have claim on the North Spain (ex NAvarre + eventually Andorra).

But appart Algeria to make it as in the real life, the others suggestions are more debatable.

I know it's far out there, but if there's a nationalist right wing coup d'etat event for Denmark, they should get a claim on Slesvig.

French claims on Valle d'Aosta became effective after 1944, when De Gaulle took the power on continental France.
The bunch of small villages assigned to France by peace treaty has no links with Valle d'Aosta, but they were on the central and southern part of French-Italian border, dominating some alpin passes: no one decided to go French, Italy was simply forced to give them to France, and much part of their population fleed to Italy after this; if any poll was held, it was a ridicoulous Soviet-style (e.g. Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania...) poll.
At that time, French governors and soldiers were very hatred by Italian population: De Gaulle invented a victory France never had, wanted villages France never had (except during Napoleon's period, when France annexed almost half of Italy), and Frenchmen behaviour was very bad to Italianmen, civilians or POWs.

P.S.: Piemonte/Piedmont, Turin's region, the province of Turin has another administrative sense in Italy :)

The Algeria question (sounds rather 1960's doesn't it?), is a problem. While I do agree that Algeria should be French cores, if it is so from the start it causes several problems. First off, it completely screws up the Vichy events. Algerian provinces will not transfer properly with out having to kludge it through extra events. Secondly, it tends to unbalance France, as it alters AI priorities, so the FRA AI tends to over garrison Algeria, making Metropolitain France even more of a walk over. France will gain cores over Algeria post-war though.

There is another possible bug on this, but keeping Algeria as a French colony: when Vichy is occupied by Axis, and Americans land in Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia pass to Italy as legal owner: once Italy surrenders to Allies, and changes alliance, only Southern Tunisia (do not ask me why not Northern one!) returns to Gaullist France, not Northern Tunisia nor Algeria which remain in Italian hands.

Event bug. I'll clear that up. The decision to have Algeria and Tunisia go to Italy was for game play reasons, in that Germany can't supply those provinces if they get them as they did historically, so they all go to Italy...

No no, this is the right one: the bug is making them stay Italian :D

In CORE 0.11 there is the same mistake that in "original" HoI2 and patches 1.1 and 1.2: USSR claims and obtains the province of Iasi from Romania; this mistake was corrected in patch 1.3, I hope it would be in CORE 0.2 too.

CORE is based on 1.2 Vanilla files ATM, and still have to be upgraded to 1.3. I reckon that will solve this issue. I'm not sure whether that will happen as soon as CORE 0.2 though.
