Playing on normal/normal...what will happend if I change to hard? Will it take longer for the techs to evolve? I now that the AI will be more prone to DoW if I change its aggressivness...

AFAIK the difficulty setting affects how much money you start the game with, and the likelihood of succesfully establishing colonies and tradeposts.

The difficulty settings only affect the human player. Change the aggressiveness level if you want to change AI behavior.
