Changing resolution

How can I change the resolution in DD? Is it possible to change to 1280x1024? The game uses 1024x768 now, which looks a bit bad with my lcd monitor, which should use the higher resolution mentioned. Maybe I'm really missing something here, but I think I've never tried changing the resolution...

No official way.
However there is a hack in the mod forum . Look there.
But rember that paradox dosen't support it and it consequences.

Does it have a name or something, by which to find it? I tried looking in the DD mod forum but didn't see it.

Mods seriously have to sticky resolution converters and graphics fix patches. I mean, I already feel like I got screwed over by not getting a resolution change option. I don't need to hunt down utilities, programs, and patches just to play the game without damaging my eyes.
