I've experienced this problem for a long time, but I thought I would finally try to do something about it.
Whenever a Crusade succeeds in conquering any area except Spain or Jerusalem, it creates a Crusader kingdom that doesn't seem anticipated by the game's color palette. So if the Crusaders take Egypt, for example, the new Christian kingdom will pop up looking exactly like Fatimid Egypt. The same thing happens if Crusaders take Persia (this just happened to me in a game for the first time ever yesterday). The new Crusader Persia is basically the same color as the Seljuks, or whoever.
Is there a way to change this? Can you set the default colors of a kingdom based on religion? So if the Crusaders set up a Christian Egypt, it isn't green. Same with Persia.
I know it's basically impossible to change the color of a country once a game is going, but I'm hoping to avoid this in future games.
Thanks!
