Changing the duration of a game.

I started Belgium 1914 and put 28 years, how can I change my savefile to last me untill 1990?

Edit: And is it possible to play a nation that isn't on the list when loading a game/Starting one?

Oh, I'd guess Edit 2: I saw a few posts on how to do it, but when I open my save file it says Year that it ends is 0, so if I put 2000, will it add another 2000 years to the ending year, or will it end in 2000?

You are in a terribly wrong place, this should go in either general discussion, or technical help.

If you edit in the savegame file, look for "enddate = ". If you find it, it means it will end in that year.

Right click on one of the starters flag to see what countries can you choose from.

Anybody at all? If it's in the right area I may get more help. The enddate says 7, so that can't be right.

Open a new thread. The enddate is usually around line 80-90 of the savegame. If you can't locate it, please open a new thread and post the first 100 lines of your savegame.

Search for this section in your save-game file:

globaldata = { 
	startdate = { 
		year = 1943 
		month = december 
		day = 0 
		hour = 0 
		} 
	enddate = { 
		year = 1964 
		month = january 
		day = 0 
		hour = 0 
		}

Then change "year = 1964" to "year = 2000".

Thanks, Strangely enough it said I started in 1940 while I started in 1914, but I changed the end date.
