How difficult would it be to create a decision to change your culture that belong to one of your parents? For example: Your father is a northman and your mother is a riverlander, and it is a regular marriage. This means you would be born a northman: But let's say you want to be a riverlander, is that possible?

My primary interest, really, is to find a way to make a decision to become High Valyrian if at least one of your parents are High Valyrian themselves: The decision would require significant prestige and a parent being high valyrian. That, or owning a Dragon. With those restrictions, you won't have a ton of High Valyrians running around, but at least it's possible for the player to become one (outside of ruler designer or playing a targaryen dynasty) if they don't start off as one already.

Why couldn't you just have the child be tutored by the mother?

And I don't agree with the High Valyrian thing, they're supposed to be rare and pretty much dead and gone aside from the Targaryens and Blackfyres. It's why the High Valyrian children of House Velaryon, Celtigar, Qoherys, and Baratheon, will oftentimes spontaneously change to West Valyrian culture.

You could, that's always been an option. But since you ask, sometimes it's hard to find someone of the desired culture who isn't a poor educator. That being said, Is there something wrong with another option?

You don't need to agree with it -- again, it's just an option. Just as my high valyrian character's kids will always be high valyrian -- even if their other parent isn't -- I'd like to make it so if I marry a high valyrian, I can choose to call myself one if I can fulfill steep requirements once I play my offspring. I don't expect it to be in the mod, I just wanted to know if it was possible.

Thanks for the input. =)

Honestly, I would like this option, because I often make a lot of bastards who inevitably receive their mother's culture. It would be nice to be able to switch them to the proper culture.
