Extension of previous to avoid thread derailing - how to you change army token colours?

I had the same question... I cannot seem to change the default colors and flags on tokens without screwing up the color palette (in game).
The basic issue here is that your counters are 'indexed' - that is to say they're only 8bit and the colours are limited. You need to use a handy software program such as oh.. GIMP, or photoshop or whatever, and set the mode to RGB, put in your new colour set, and then change them back to 'indexed' mode and then save them. This should work

Hey! Thank you for the answer, after 3 days I began to think that I might not get help, certainly not soon.
I suspected it was something to do with inner properties of the image, but the issue is, apparently, beyond my limited knowledge in image editing. I will try to learn on the spot about RGBs and indexing .

You should stop worrying and start using this tiny but neat utility by KeldorKatarn.
You should save your wannabe-counter as 24bit BMP (in RGB), then drag&drop both your counter and counter_prototype.bmp over the exe. It's so easy to convert!
