Information

I have verifed my game files (Steam only)

Yes

I have disabled all mods

Yes

I am running the latest game update

Yes

Required

Summary

Characters are perpetually ill

Description

I noticed with my rulers, but it also applies to to NPCs. Trait ill cannot be cured/dissapear. My current ruler is ill for at least a decade, since he started his rule. Trait won't go away and I don't remeber physician "time for treatment" event happening even once. My previous ruler was able to recover, but only after his illness worsened into Pneumonia.

Steps to reproduce

Get ill and wait. I do have one mod active, for removing children limit for player only, but it doesn't seem to be connected in any way. I also remember sickly children recovering, so it seems to only be an issue with this one Ill trait.

Game Version

1.9.0.3

Observing the same situation. My character's wife, an independent ruler, has been ill non stop for something like seven years and hasn't received treatment at all despite having multiple court physicians. Attaching save (ironman, two purely graphical mods).

Hello @radziu93, @shulima,

Thank you for your reports. Albeit both saves were made on modded game, I was able to reproduce it on vanilla. I will report it to our database. I will also highlight this bug to Developers and ask them to prioritize because it looks pretty serious and gameplay affecting.

Temporal (possible) workaround:
1. If you don't get Treatment events - try to hire and rehire your court physician.
2. When you get Treatment event again - try the second option (It's too late for a caution).

I've noticed that this option might remove ill trait, albeit not always. I have also noticed increase amount of Treatment events though so I was able to remove ill trait on my second/third try.

Thank you again and have a nice day!

I will close this thread for now as situation is clear.
