Children won't get peronality traits, when they're traveling

Description​

My character was doing a pilgramage from Aachen to Jerusalem over sea and it took me around 3 years to travel. In that time my children obviously aged and my heir became of age. Then I saw, that two of my children did not recieve any personality traits in that period.
I looked into the event files and found out that the childhood trait events only trigger when the children are available and since they're not available when they're traveling, the event won't trigger.

Travel with your children for a longer period.

I had a case where I did a pilgrimage, my two wards were travelling with me and when we came back one of them had acquired a personality trait that I was never given an option about. Not sure if that is how it is supposed to work.
