Hi,

I am playing Japan and NatChi is my puppet. AI keeps spamming militia in build queue (hyper annoying). Which china AI file do i need to mod to stop this madness? I can't figure it out from the AI events file.

Thank you

I don't know exactly which would control china as a puppet or if there is one in that case. It might just revert back to the last build file that was in place before it was puppeted.

I looked and there are just 3 files for china that have a build que in the file. The first is chi_1936 which is in the "ai" folder. the others are in the "switch" folder inside the "ai" folder. they are chi_war_jap and chi_isolantionist. I would think that chi_war_jap would be the one.

However, for an existing game, you can go into the save game file and set militia to zero and add the number from mil to infantry. Total in build queue must equal 100.

One more thing I just thought of and that is that there is a point that after you lose so much IC the AI will switch into a build militia mode and if that happens then it might not matter what you change the other files to. In that case you would have to write an event that when chi is a puppet that it loads a new build file. One with no militia.

I'm in the process of reworking the china files so that china will put up a better fight. The main things I'm changing is the build queue and tech research. In the build queue I have set militia to zero. I'm getting some good results, at least the war is lasting into 39 and 40 now.

I hope this helps. :)

Update on the what file china uses after it is puppeted. I checked my last game when china was puppeted by japan in 39 and the file the ai uses in that case was the chi_1939 file. So in conclusion, when china gets puppeted the ai will revert back to the latest start file, so in 39 it picks the chi_1939 file, if it was puppeted in 38 then it should revert back to the chi_1936 start file.
