Chrashes to windows while saving

Hi guys.

Everytime I try to save my game it crashes to windows.
400 MHZ Celeron, 128 MB, Windows ME. Dx 8.0
Never had any problems with other games. Using two partitions C:/ and D:/. On D:/ I installed EU. Anybody who can help me?.
Using v1.8
Benelux version

Oh by the way I'm playing Sweden.

Just as an experiment try installing on C. You have nothing to lose and you never know............
