Hi, everybody, this is my second AAR, this time narrative one set in ASOIAF world. I've read many AARs for this awesome mod and these inspire to writtes one. I've played already for 40 years with a custom High Valyrian house. I have more fun than with Munster. I hope as people will enjoy

Chapter I: High Lord of Duskendale

Otherys, pure-blooded Valyrian high lord of Duskendale, was call in King's Landing for meet with queen Cerenna Lannister about war with king Vaeron Targaryen of Meeren. He is proud and tall as a Valyrian dragonlord of past, hooded and dressed with a long green shirt and boots, lord walking through streets full of commoners and looking to port. Otherys was received by friendly guard from castle gate, inside all seems grand compared to his castle of Duskendale, he enters in hall of Iron Throne, queen waits him. They talks about Vaeron, son of Daenerys Targaryen and Ser Gurzhak of Meeren, he claims as Iron Throne will be him and restore Targaryen dynasty as before War of Usurper. Otherys believe as enemy forces not are a match for them, queen says to him as Vaeron riding Drogon, one of dragons raised by his late mother. Otherys was named commander by Cerenna and must follows other nobles, he meet with his vassals and councillors for discuss things regarding adminstration before going with royal army. Meanwhile Essosi soldiers establish a base near King's Landing attacking countryside, personal levy of Otherys was destroyed by these ”barbarians”, follows few months of retreats of queens troops which found as Vaeron outnumbered. Otherys and his men confront Vaeron and his army, unfortunely Drogon the dragon incites wounds on high lord

Chapter II: Dire Straits

Otherys died after rulling 12 years, he was succeded by young Aegor, he was a bit different to him because marry a middle-aged widow, this thing breaks heart of Otherys. Aegor joining a tourney in which he defeat few knights before eliminated from there. Aegor seduce his cousin, Astrid and spent a night with her, Astrid become pregnant anger Sybil, her mother and Otherys's sister, because she fear as Astrid give birth to a abdomination of incest. Aegor receive at court a maidservant, unfortunately he contacted lover's pox but during a tourney Aegor develop gonorheea which make him sad because life ends due to love-making with other women than Janei, his middle-aged spouse. Astrid give birth to a girl named Saera, ill lord decide as girl will be his heir and dies some few months, leaving high lordship of Duskendale in hands of a baby girl, Saera rule over all dominion until Erik, Aegor's brother, usurp title of high lord, let only Duskendale in Saera's hands. Young lady was put under regency of Sybil, meanwhile Astrid give birth to Aegor's second child. Can Saera confront and resist to harsh life of Westeros as bastard lady of Duskendale?

Chapter III: A young lady

In castle of Duskendale, little Saera spent her days alongside her brother and other children, she was kind and charitable with all people from court. Astrid thinks as her daughter deserve a good education. Sybil learns little girl basic combat skills because lady was considered one of best swordsmen of her generation. Saera was already betrothed to a young nobleman because Sybil want as her line and that of Otherys grows bigger. Saera become best friend with Andrya, because girl keeps secret as Andrya kiss a peasent servant. Someone send chancellors to fabricate claims on Saera's title, girl orders as these scoundrels must assassinated - this thing happens when female chancellor tried, spymaster put end to days to that lady with a dagger stabbed in her heart, second chancellor barely survives. Saera have a hard childhood until she marry her "prince", Saera remembers as happiest day of her life. Young woman discovers as she is heavy with her husband's child. Saera give birth to a girl named Ingrid, some few months late, Sybil's regency ends. Saera have two things to achieve - retake her title usurped by Erik and abolish council power

Aegor paid the price for his sins. Saera has a tough struggle in front of her.

This situation is interesting but I believe as Erik is a coward because in war with him he not leave his home. Surprisingly vassals of Erik field large levies - AIs of these lords not want to sacrifice soldiers, but as in vanilla retreats annoy me when I want to conquer something when I am a minor king or a renowned duke/high lord. In my playthrough, Targaryen retake throne after 72 years of Baratheon and Lannister dynasties. New chapter in next days but will be short as all others because I am not very good at English, also I will roleplaying with other powerfull nobles from Seven Kingdoms for create a more narrative approach in-game

Chapter IV: Good feelings

Saera declars war on Erik for retake title of high lady of Duskendale, things goes better for silver-haired young woman, his soldiers manage to defeat forces of Erik but his vassals decide to not sacrifice their levies for a bastard noblewoman. Saera want to winning all but party of Erik not surrender despite losses, traitorous nobles annoy poor lady until she disband her levies because upkeep which cost her gold. King Daemon decide as Saera will be awarded with some territories and Erik was exiled to serve Nightwatch for defend Westeros from sadistic free peoples. Saera maintain war but against her cousin, this thing make her stressed and frustrated as some of her siblings considered a bastard despite belong to Haengsson clan, she thinks as Seven will be with her for to be a powerfull and able high lady exactly as Krafla, her great-grandmother

Notes: I have played game session already, I hope as you will enjoy because I am a professional writter IRL which enjoy videogames and found inspiration in CK2 for AARs and my novel written in my native tongue - Roman, with action set in a semi-fantasy setting named Bellatrix, inspired by world of AGOT

I wish you all encouragement and admire the fact you are trying to tell your story in this complicated language! It is one way to get a wider audience and to practice it. I wish I had the smarts to write in another language, but by now am too old to do it!

Let us hope Saera can succeed - and meet a better fate than that sinful Aegor did!

Chapter V: Merchant of Duskendale*

*Allusion to Merchant of Venice

All knows as in Seven Kingdoms merchants were not so powerfull as in Free Cities of Essos. Saera bored and stressed by war against her siblings decide to be fashionable, she know as her treasury cant allow extravagantly amount of rich dresses. Saera heard from rumours as a famous Essosi merchant arrives in Duskendale and he want to negociate a pact with Ser Rawney, her steward. Young lady meet that Essosi merchant in lord hall, guy show her many clothes, Saera want to buy a red rich dress which fit her tastes but cost 150 dragons, she have only 72 in her treasury with a moderate increase every month. Ser Arthur, her husband, thinks as purchase a expensive item not make his wife happy and pleased when she want to be undisputed and mighty lady of Duskendale

Let’s hope one day her riches will permit a grand wardrobe befitting a great leader.

This and his sister-project were abandoned because I lost interest in them. I have ideas for next my AAR - a narrative with Holy Roman Empire or a historybook with Basileia ton Rhomaion, I am more for Byzantines because I have fun with them in a unrelated medieval RTS game, another reason is Ive read two old historybook AARs about Empire, I want to learn how to playing as them.

Chapters in second part of tale of Haengsson family will be fully narrative and without game something, but based partly in golden age of Valyrians partly present depicted in first part. I want to make this different than other AGOT AARs
