Prologue
London, 2004.
"My division was fit for battle in a time when Afghanistan was on the brink of destruction, Italy was driven out from Africa, Ethiopia liberated, Sardinia and Sicily in British hands and Bulgaria would soon be assaulted. The Italian navy was pretty much non-existant, and the British prepared an offensive in Italy. But things were less successful on other fronts. Germany and Italy possessed entire France, Soviet Union and Germany had split Poland between them, Belgium, Luxembourg, Netherlands and Denmark was under German rule and Norway was constantly losing territory. But, this didn't make people less eager to join the military, which was constantly growing. I was one of the foolish ones to join the army, but I pretty much had to, since my father was a veteran from the Great war, as well as my grandfathers and most of my uncles, and now they urged me to join the bloody military. So, I signed up, got assigned to 55th West Lancashires, which were a motorized division, and then we were sent to Jerusalem to recieve orders for Operation "Avenger", the landing in Bulgaria, you know. It was terrible to just wait, we wanted to see some fighting. My God, we were fools back then..."
